My son/daughter does not
speak any Chinese. Is this the appropriate program for them to
participate in?
Absolutely! The program was designed to teach all skill
levels, including the beginner. Please keep in mind that
it is only a three-week course.
Q.
What is the ratio of
students/teachers?
The
ratio is 8 to 1 or less for classroom instruction and 6
to 1 or less for after-class and weekend field trips. In
addition to teachers, we will also have CommunicAsian
staff to ensure students safety outside of classroom.
Q.
I have submitted the
application online, but not yet mail out the deposit, my
photos and passport copy. Am I considered completed the
application with CommunicAsian?
No.
Without those items, the application is not complete,
and will not be processed. In order to secure a seat in
the program or take the advantage of the early
application discount, we need to receive all items that
are listed in the Application Check list in the
Application page.

Q.
How
will my child be cared for in the event of illness or
injury?
A
member of CommunicAsian staff will accompany the child
to a local clinic or hospital for treatment. We will
notify you immediately regarding the nature of the
illness or injury.
Q.
Will the
students have the opportunity to dialogue with local Chinese
residents?
Yes. The students will have many chances to interact
with Chinese students. Each student will have a language
partner, a local student, throughout the camp. They will
have exchange and sports activities with local students
too.
Q.
Who are the
teachers? How are the local students being found?
The teachers are professional, active and enthusiastic
about teaching. Many of them are at the leading position
of their own fields. The local students are from local
schools. They are selected based on good academic
performance and moral character. They know a little of
English, but have been instructed not to speak English
with our students.
Q.
We will go
China by ourselves and join
CommunicAsian in Beijing. Who

If a student
only goes for 2 weeks in the 3-week program, will that
student still get a certificate of recognition?
Yes, every student will get a certificate indicating the
place, the school and the estimated number of hours they
participated in the program.
Q.
Can students
go out to shop in Xi’an? Will somebody take them?
Yes, they will have chances
go out shopping either on their own or with one of our
student directors depending on the students' age. If not
with our student director, we will provide them with
maps and transportation information, etc. To ensure
their safety, we have implemented strict guidelines that
will be covered in the orientation meeting prior to each
session.
